Object Monologue for Drama- CoffeeTable

I hate when they spill hot food on me; I hate when move me all around there house; but most importantly I hate when they sit on me! Sitting is for chairs not coffee tables! The Jone’s family always set there heaviest plates of food on me so they can watch T.V. no wonder why America is fighting obesity. They were the worst ever for spilling food it is just so annoying well they put enough food to fed Africa on their plate no wonder why they always spills!

My back hurts so bad when they use me, I’m always afraid my legs are going to give out or my back is going to break right in half! Also they always me move all around the house like every two months just pick a place already! People don’t care where you put your coffee table gosh! I like it in the living room I just get a perfect amount of light to get my perfect golden brown tan. Everyone else likes me there too I’m the first thing they see when guests walk in the ugly little door of theirs.

I love when there not home so I can just relax and not have food on my or butts all up in my grill! Its just so nasty when they sit on me I can tell they haven’t showered for days. Maybe weeks! What is that your bringing into our house? A new coffee table?!?! No! No this can’t be true! You will never have a coffee table like me just wait you’ll see! (Beat) Mr. Jones please don’t leave me

Best Boss

I am proud to present this award to my very own boss Juana. You defiantly deserve the best boss award Juana you have been the best boss in the world for the last couple years by always helping us find pearls, making sure were all safe, and trying to be the best mother possible.

When Kino dived for the worlds biggest pearl Juana you knew what to do. Throw it back she said she knew the pearl was no good all that it would bring was pain. And she learned that later in the story. After her child’s life was taken away because of the pearl. This reminds me of the time when I went for a walk late at night and when I was close to my house I had a gut feeling to go back home. Yet I kept going until I was told I had to go back.

Juana you are a great mother and boss. You deserve this award more than anyone in the whole world for all the help you have given finding pearls, trying to be the best mother, and making sure everyone is as safe as they can be. Therefore here is your award Juana!

Crazy Christmas

Have you ever had one of those days where you fall asleep in such a great mood, and don’t know how the day could have been any better? That’s how I felt on December 24, 2010. This was my favorite Christmas for my dad’s side of the family because of all the fun, laughter, and glamorous Chirstmas fever!
Nine am rolls around the corner; I woke up right as my alarm is in the middle of the song, “Stuck in the Moment”,by Justin Bieber. I got up instantly and walked to the bathroom to turn on my flat iron. Next I walked back into my room to figure out what to wear for the day. Finally I picked out a pair of jeans: a white tank top and a new gray cardigan. After I walked into the bathroom again to finish straightening all my unwanted wavy, poufy, and curly hair, suddenly it was 10:15 my dad came to pick us up in his big red truck from my mom’s house.
As we pull into our very short driveway, you could see my grandpa trying to figure out where to park. My dad, sister, and I directed him into a vacant lot across the street. We walked out of my dad’s truck and into the house and all you could smell is roast beef, chicken, cheesy potatoes and fresh veggies that Linda, my dad’s girlfriend, has been cooking since early this morning. My grandpa walks in a couple minutes after everyone else with a large platter of cookies, but more importantly he also brought shrimp.
Around twelve pm Jack, eleven, Kate, nine, Megg, seven, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Kent walked into my family’s new home. Jack, Kate and Megg were anxiously waiting for Ben, ten, Hunter, twelve, and Sammie ,21, to show up so everyone could start unwrapping their gifts. Shortly after they showed up; everyone seemed hungry, and excited to see what they were going to get : we were ready to celebrate the holidays.
Everyone eats a little bit while sitting in a circle looking left to right wondering what presents are mine, or which one will I open first. After all the presents were passed out we count to three to open presents. One-two-three! All you could see is wrapping paper, and tissue flying through the air and the little screams of “YES”, and , “Just what I wanted”, drifted through the air. I got a Justin Bieber book, yoga pants from Victoria’s Secret, and a new flat iron. Unlike all the littler kids who got Zhu-Zhu Pets, Nerf Guns, or Hex bugs Nano.
Later that night we all grabed our swimsuits and took a dip into our hot tub! Imagine a four person hot tub with around ten kids inside! One by one each left and went back into the house. The last few people were Kate, Megg, and I who had to replace the cover and make sure everything was hooked up tight. As we walk in shivering, I frantically look for three towels; after I find them we ran upstairs to get dressed. As I washed my hair so the hot tub water wouldn’t damage my hair, my sister sang my family a song while playing a guitar.
Later I go down the stairs and see my family getting their food and drinks for a great Christmas dinner. I got my food last out of everyone, grabbing cheesy potatoes, some fresh veggies, and a chicken sandwich. After the meal was done we had a quick game of Apples to Apples; I won the game!My family started to leave until it was down to my dad, Linda, Taylor, my sister 15, my grandpa, and me. After a long day we all hit the hay happy as a clam. While lying in bed I thought, “I wish this Christmas would never end!” Chirstmas fever surely came to me and my whole family that one very beautiful snowy day

It's because I love them all!

Introductions

Question

Have you ever wondered what meeting your favorite actor, actress, singer, or band would be like? If you went to the Golden Globes you would be able to see all of them because the Golden Globes are the most popular award show in America.

Startling statement
In America 821,810 teens from the ages 15-19 get pregnant. We can prevent this by showing kids the effects of having a baby at that young of an age.

Narrative
Imagine being able to sunbathe right next an ocean so, crystal blue you can practically see straight through it. Honolulu, Hawaii is the best place to get a tan.

Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a lot harder than you would think. To be a cheerleader you have to be strong, go fast or slow enough, good memory, and flexible. For doing stunts you have to be able to hold a girl the weight around 70-100 pounds, and a flyer has to be able to hold her own weight up. The reason you have to be fast or slow enough is because for cheers you have different tempos every cheer or when we do the half time dance. You need a good memory for a lot of things like to remember the cheers and dance. Also you have to remember that there is no me in team. And finally you don’t have to be flexible but if you are you will be featured during stunts and cheers.

Perfect by Natasha Friend

The book “Perfect” by Natasha Friend shows the dangers of bulimia. This is a really good thing to know that it’s bad because if you force yourself to throw up ; your teeth will turn an ugly brown, and it will become addicting, it’s addicting because that’s the way a bulimic person copes with their problems.
After Isabelle’s dad died, Isabelle kept seeing herself as fat. So Isabelle chose bulimia as her answer. Not a very smart decision as if you can tell. I like but also dislike this book because I utterly hate throwing up or having someone else talk about them upchucking. I like this story because of the detail, it may be about throwing up but I really like the way Natasha Friend puts it.
Throughout the story sense they talk about bulimia, I think a good age to read this book at is 12 and older. I say this because of the bulimia, and talking about alcoholic drinks. Also it talks about the way Isabelle feels about herself, such as fat legs, and imperfect body. Well imperfect to her, to others no one would even notice.
Before I read this story I didn’t have very much background knowledge about Bulimia, and the dangers of what it does. During this book Isabelle got caught by her sister April. If April didn’t catch her sister, Isabelle wouldn’t be seeing a therapy group twice a week. While seeing the therapist she found out that the most popular girl in the school is bulimic. Isabelle may be mad at her sister for ratting her out, but I think she should be happy that she now is part of the “cool crowd” now rather than hanging out with girls who go to sleep at 8 pm.
“Perfect” by Natasha Friend talks about the dangers of bulimia. It’s excellent to know so people don’t become addicted, or get an ugly teeth color. There are no comparisons to me and this story. This book is swell for anyone who is mature or over the age of 12.
